Ahead of the next Conversation Society event on 11 May, 2011, we decided to take a look back at last year’s event to share the discussions and insights we learnt:

The first Conversation Society event was held at Soho’s Patisserie Valerie.  The topic we discussed was “why the UK is STILL getting fatter and how we can change what seems to be a deeply-entrenched and long-term trend”.

For our launch event we had a fantastic panel. We were delighted to welcome Carrie Longton from mumsnet, behavioural economist Nick Southgate (from The School of Life) and the founder of the Rotherham Institute for Obesity, Dr. Matthew Capehorn. The topics discussed will be included in subsequent posts.
