Ahead of the next Conversation Society event on 11 May, 2011, we decided to take a look back at last year’s event to share the discussions and insights we learnt:

Nick Southgate continued by highlighting some of the work done to help change consumer opinions of food and the impact the choices can make on their health and weight:

One of the most interesting projects we’ve conducted is the development of a game where kids had to learn a whole new set of rules about living. It was all about giving them the chance to make the right choices about living. It helped us deal with the problem of nutrition holistically as kids could see the outcome of the choices. The other success was sending people meals rather than sending them food. Behavioural economics is about nudging people to make a change.
